Aster uses third-party AI models on the device and through Cloudflare Workers AI. Each model remains subject to its provider’s licence and acceptable-use terms.

Other models
GLM-4.7-Flash is made available under the MIT License. Qwen3.8-27B, gpt-oss-20b, and FLUX.2 [klein] 4B are made available under the Apache License 2.0. Whisper and its model weights are made available under the MIT License.
Cloudflare Workers AI hosts the models used by Aster. Cloudflare does not create or train these third-party models, and the applicable model licences remain in effect.
On-device voice
Aster uses the Supertonic 3 model by Supertone Inc. to synthesize speech locally on supported devices. The model is distributed under the BigScience Open RAIL-M License and its use restrictions. Aster uses sherpa-onnx, licensed under the Apache License 2.0, to run the model on iOS.

The generated voice is synthetic. It must not be used to impersonate another person without consent, harm or exploit a person, make prohibited automated decisions, or otherwise violate the model licence or applicable law.
