How Private AI Chat History Works

Local is not the same as AI processing

History can remain on a device while a prompt is still sent to a server for an answer. A privacy explanation should describe both storage and processing.

Know where each part goes

Aster stores chat history locally while sending the bounded context needed for a response through its protected AI gateway after consent. It does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

You can disable memory, clear local history, withdraw AI-processing consent, and review privacy controls in Settings.
